Taurus Renovation & Construction selected as general contractor for two Catholic University of America projects

WASHINGTON –Taurus Renovation & Construction (TRC) was selected by Catholic University of America to install a new Green Roof on Aquinas Hall as a part of their green facility upgrades. TRC was also selected to perform renovations to McCarthy Hall.The McCarthy Hall renovation will include modern light filled conference room space, improved lighting and overall facilities to add to the educational experience. The Aquinas Hall green roof will cover about 1,500 square feet of the roof and will consist of modules by LiveRoof that will be installed by DC greenworks. DC greenworks is a 501(c)3 in the District of Columbia that installs green roofs, rain barrels and other low impact development measures.“Catholic University of America has done a tremendous amount of greening of their campus including installation of solar panels on building roofs and over parking areas and is looking to install more green roofs throughout the campus. Every green roof we install helps to improve the quality of the District’s rivers and tributaries,” Gail Montplaisir, President of Taurus Development Group said.
